San Juan International Mining Expo 2024: Argentina's Key Mining Event, May 21-23

News
The specialized media and main organizer of mining events in Argentina, Panorama Minero, announced the tenth edition of its renowned "International Exhibition: San Juan, Key Factor of Argentine Mining Development”, also known as the "San Juan International Mining Expo”. The event will take place at the Cepas Sanjuaninas venue on May 21, 22, and 23, 2024. The people's mining expo will feature renewed activities and has the support of the Government of San Juan, one of the most dynamic provinces for mining activity in the country.

Following the success of the 2022 edition, with over 14,000 attendees and the presence of 200 exhibitors, 250 companies linked to the activity and representatives from 13 countries, the 2024 San Juan Mining Expo will offer new attractions for the entire community, with free access and multiple commercial and business opportunities for actors strategically related to one of Argentina's essential sectors for the future.

Founded in 2006 and held biennially in the province of San Juan, a leading territory in Argentine mining production and the main destination for investments in that productive sector at the national level, the Expo attracts not only companies and actors from San Juan but also from different regions with mining activity, making it one of the most federal and highly recognized events in the industry. Additionally, it has the official support of the Government of San Juan and the presence of international organizations, investors, diplomatic bodies, authorities, and both mining and supplier companies.

The event spans three days, including various commercial pavilions aimed at generating business and investment development, an outdoor area for large machinery, spaces for the promotion of related products and services, and live entertainment for the entire community. Additionally, there are training sessions, technical forums, seminars, and sectoral conferences that bring together professionals from the country, the region, and the world to discuss and analyze current trends and future developments in the mining sector. Throughout the three days, exclusive business rounds and meetings for entrepreneurs and sponsors are also held.

Copper, along with gold, silver, and lithium, stands out as the main segments at the Expo, summoning the leading operating firms interested in Argentina and the province of San Juan. On this occasion, the "1st International Conference: Argentina Copper" will be presented as the main attraction, a new information and business cycle promoted by Panorama Minero that will delve into the opportunities offered by the copper industry, given the growing interest in the investment world, driven by the energy transition and its use in sustainable applications and technologies.

"The San Juan Mining Expo is a space that Panorama Minero deeply values for its dual impact, both in generating business among companies and in the interaction it allows with society. We believe it is essential to extend the benefits of this activity to the population and the possibilities that can arise from bringing large mining centers into production. Mining is sustainability, quality employment, and a path to growth for both San Juan and the entire country. With this edition, we want to highlight this and show the world that we are a mining country and that we want to continue growing to improve the quality of life for all Argentinians," explained Celeste González, director of Panorama Minero, regarding the 2024 proposal.

"To make this possible, we will implement various actions to promote local tourism, trade between large and small companies, collaboration with educational institutions and civil society, as well as other entertainment activities, gastronomic proposals, and live shows that will showcase the best of our beloved mining activity for three days," concluded Panorama Minero.
